Accuplacer/TSI

Accuplacer/TSI scores will document that you are college ready and will meet one part of the enrollment process for dual credit courses. 

College Ready Scores:

ELAR: A score in the range of 945–990 on the ELAR CRC Test and a score of at least 5 on the Essay Test OR an ELAR CRC Test score below 945 and an ELAR Diagnostic Test score of 5 or 6.

Essay: Score of 5 or higher.

Mathematics: A score in the range of 950–990 on the Mathematics CRC Test OR a Mathematics CRC Test score below 950 and a Mathematics Diagnostic Test score of 6. 

Cost: The TSI is free of cost for the first 2 attempts. After those attempts, all other attempts will cost $15. 

You can also register to take the TSI at Texas Woman’s University, but you will incur the cost of the assessment.

AUBREY HIGH SCHOOL Accuplacer/TSI DATES:

  • November 14, 2023 and November 15, 2023- Juniors and Seniors Only

  • February 27, 2024 and February 28, 2024- Juniors and Seniors Only

  • April 10, 2024 - Open to all grades

STEPS TO TAKE THE Accuplacer/TSI @ AUBREY HIGH SCHOOL

  1. Click HERE to register for the TSI.

  2. Click HERE to complete the Pre-Assessment Activity. You will be asked to create an account if you do not already have one. Please use your personal email, not your school, as you will need to receive emails from an outside agency. You will bring a copy of your completed PAA and give it to the test administrator on your scheduled test date. If you do not have your pre assessment proof on test day, you will be asked to reschedule. 

  3. You must have a photo ID or proper form of identification (school ID or Driver’s License) to enter the testing room.

  4. The tests are untimed. You can work until the end of the school day. You will be allowed to take your regular lunch break and then return to the testing room.  Restroom breaks will be provided, as needed.

  5. You may have a pencil or pen! Scratch paper will be provided for you.

  6. You may NOT have a phone, calculator, or dictionary.

  7. There is an online calculator within the program for your use.

  8. If you choose to distract others who are testing, you will be removed from the testing room.

  9. You may have a bottle of water and a “clean” snack. (IE: No Cheetos!)

  10. If you are absent on test day, it becomes your responsibility to contact Ms. Reid about rescheduling the test date.

ACT

When available, your scores are posted online and accessed using your secure MyACT account. Scores are processed and added multiple times a week, so keep checking in if you can’t see yours yet. Viewing your scores online does not speed up reporting.

Please note: Customer Care cannot provide your scores by phone, email, chat, or fax. 

Multiple choice scores are normally available within two weeks after each test date, but it can sometimes take up to eight weeks. 

Writing scores are normally available about two weeks after your multiple-choice scores.

If you took the writing test, your overall scores are not officially reported until your writing scores have been added.

SAT

If you registered for the SAT School Day with AHS, registered online or you registered by mail and set up a College Board account, you’ll get an email telling you how to sign into your online score report when scores are ready. 

You will go to:  collegeboard.org and sign in using the account information that you used when you created your College Board account.

Your score report includes a detailed breakdown of your scores, information about what your scores mean, and how your scores compare to those of other test-takers. You'll be able to see your essay online if you took the SAT with Essay.

STAAR

You will need your first name, birth date, and your social security number. 

Click here and look towards the bottom for the link to "Lookup Unique Access Code."

Enter your information and hit ENTER. If you have STAAR scores, you will see on the next screen your unique access code. There is no need to go back and enter the code. Simply click the blue circle "GO" and it will take you to the latest reported STAAR scores.

AP Exams

All AP students, whether they plan to take the AP exam or not, must join their AP teacher’s online AP classroom in myap.collegeboard.org using the six-digit code provided by their teacher. 

  1. Cost:

    • $89.00 PER test

    • $36.00 PER test (if you qualify for free/reduced lunch)

  2. If you plan on taking the AP exam:

    • Make a payment through MySchoolBucks.

  3. Deadline to register is Friday, November 10, 2023

    • If you decide to test AFTER November 10, there will be an additional $40 fee in addition to the cost of the test. *The extra fees are incurred by College Board, not Aubrey ISD

    • If you register for the exam, pay for the exam, but decide not to test, you can be refunded all but the $40 retainer fee.
